Sticky Sweet Garlic Tofu
Ingredients:
- 14 oz firm tofu, pressed and cut into cubes
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger. Add the tofu cubes and let them marinate for 15–20 minutes.
- In a separate small bowl, mix the cornstarch with water to create a slurry.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Remove the tofu from the marinade (set the marinade aside) and cook the tofu until all sides are golden and crispy.
- Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet. Bring it to a simmer, then stir in the cornstarch slurry. Cook for another 1–2 minutes, stirring gently, until the sauce thickens and coats the tofu.
- Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Tips:
- For extra flavor and presentation, top with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
- Be sure to press the tofu before cooking—it helps remove excess moisture and makes it crisp up better in the pan.
