Pioneer Woman Cheeseburger Pie
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard powder
- Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, pickles, extra cheese
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Brown the beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and the onions are soft. Drain any excess grease. Stir in the garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Remove from heat.
3. Make the batter
In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, flour, baking powder, paprika, and mustard powder until the mixture is smooth.
4. Assemble the pie
Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish. Spread the beef mixture evenly across the bottom. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top, then pour the batter over everything, spreading it to cover completely.
5. Bake
Place the dish in the oven and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
6. Serve
Let the pie rest for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with your favorite toppings like chopped tomatoes, pickles, or extra cheese. Serve warm and enjoy!
