Chocolate Peanut Butter Ooey Gooey Butter Cake

Ingredients:

For the Cake Base:

1 box chocolate cake mix

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

For the Filling:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup creamy peanut butter

3 large eggs

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 tsp vanilla extract

4 cups powdered sugar

Topping (Optional):

1/2 cup chocolate chips

1/2 cup peanut butter chips

Drizzle of chocolate or caramel sauce (optional)

Directions:

Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Prepare the Cake Base:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, melted butter, and eggs. Stir until well mixed. Press this mixture evenly into the bottom of the greased baking dish to form the base.

Make the Filling:

In another large bowl, beat the cream cheese and peanut butter together until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Pour in the melted butter and vanilla extract, mixing until combined. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until smooth.

Assemble the Cake:

Pour the filling over the cake base in the baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Add Toppings (Optional):

Sprinkle chocolate chips and peanut butter chips over the filling if desired.

Bake:

Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes. The center should be a little gooey but set around the edges.

Cool and Serve:

Let the cake cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing. Drizzle with chocolate or caramel sauce if desired.
