Homemade Milktart [ stove top] no bake
Ingriediënts
2 packs of tennis biscuits
140 ml melted butter
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
2 liters of fresh milk (2 cups set aside)
2 cans condensemilk ( I only use nestlé)
2 eggs
6 tspns full maizina
10 ml vanilla essence
Topping
2 tbsp cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
Recipe
Mix the first four ingriedients together
Press into a lightly sprayed glass oven dish 20 cm by 5 cm high .
Lightly mix the 2 eggs with a hand wisk
Add the maizena and mix well with 2 cups of milk adding the whisked eggs and mix well together .
Heat up 6 cups of milk (not boiling just hot ) add a tablespoon of butter and the condensmilk bring to boil while continuesly whisking . When the mixture starts to boil take it of the heat and place aside to cool down a little .
Add the egg maizena mixture little by little and stir .Place back on a lower heat and keep whisking untill it thickens . When it reaches a thickened stage take off the heat and add the vanilla essence .
Poor the mixture onto the cookies .
Sprinkle cinnamon nutmeg mixture on top
NOTE LET IT COOL COMPLETELY BEFORE OLACING IN THE FRIDGE .
