Cheesy Mushroom Toast Melts

A gooey, savory snack that’s seriously hard to resist!

Ingredients:

  • 3 slices of white or whole wheat bread
  • ¾ cup shredded mozzarella (or a few slices of your fave melty cheese)
  • ½ cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 green chili or jalapeño, finely chopped
  • ¼ tsp red chili powder or paprika
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • Optional: garlic butter or olive oil for toasting

How to Make It:

1. Preheat the Oven:
Set your oven (or toaster oven) to 375°F. This recipe is perfect for a quick snack or light dinner.

2. Add the Cheese:
Place your bread slices on a baking tray. Pile on that shredded mozzarella—this is where the melty magic happens!

3. Add the Toppings:
Layer on the mushrooms and chopped chili. Then sprinkle a bit of salt, pepper, and chili powder or paprika to kick up the flavor.

4. Bake It:
Pop it in the oven for 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and golden, and the edges of the bread get nice and crispy.

5. Serve It Up:
Enjoy them hot—right out of the oven! Serve with ketchup, your favorite hot sauce, or just eat them as-is. Cheesy, spicy, and totally satisfying.
