Homemade Watermelon Ice Cream

A Refreshing & Creamy Summer Treat!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • ⅓ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • A few drops of red food coloring (optional)
  • ½ cup fresh watermelon juice
  • Small watermelon chunks
  • ¼ cup chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Watermelon:

    • Remove seeds from the watermelon.
    • Blend and strain to get ½ cup of fresh watermelon juice.
    • Set aside some small watermelon chunks for added texture.
  2. Make the Ice Cream Base:

    • In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream for about 2 minutes until slightly thickened.
    • Add the sweetened condensed milk and a few drops of red food coloring (if using).
    • Continue beating until stiff peaks form.
  3. Incorporate the Watermelon Flavor:

    • Gently mix in the watermelon juice.
    • Beat for another 2-3 minutes until smooth and well combined.
  4. Add Texture & Freeze:

    • Fold in the watermelon chunks.
    • Stir in the chocolate chips to resemble watermelon seeds.
    • Transfer the mixture to a container, cover, and freeze for at least 8 hours or overnight.
  5. Serve & Enjoy:

    • Scoop and enjoy this refreshing homemade watermelon ice cream!
