Beef and Cheese Croissant Rolls ๐ฅ๐ง
Ingredients:
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 8 slices deli roast beef or pastrami
- 8 slices Swiss or cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tsp sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Prepare the Dough:
Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
3. Assemble the Rolls:
Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on each triangle (if using).
Place a slice of roast beef and a slice of cheese at the wide end. Roll the dough tightly toward the tip, sealing in the filling.
4. Apply Egg Wash:
Arrange the rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Brush each one with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame or poppy seeds if desired.
5. Bake:
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
6. Serve & Enjoy:
Serve warm as a snack, appetizer, or light meal. Pair with horseradish mayo or au jus for extra flavor!
