Crispy, juicy chicken tenders tossed in a sweet, spicy, garlicky honey butter sauce — these are seriously addictive and perfect for dinner, game day, or whenever you're craving comfort food with a kick.
Ingredients
For the Chicken:
- 1 ½ lbs chicken tenders
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- Vegetable oil, for frying
For the Spicy Honey Butter Garlic Sauce:
- ⅓ cup honey
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp hot sauce (or more if you like it extra spicy)
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- ½ tsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Season the Chicken: Pat chicken tenders dry and season with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Dredge: Set up three bowls—one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko. Coat each tender first in flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat in panko.
- Fry: In a large skillet, heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil over medium heat. Fry the tenders in batches for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
- Make the Sauce: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute). Stir in the honey, hot sauce, red pepper flakes, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Let it simmer for 2 minutes.
- Toss and Serve: Toss the fried chicken tenders in the warm sauce until fully coated. Serve immediately.
