Spicy Honey Butter Garlic Chicken Tenders

Crispy, juicy chicken tenders tossed in a sweet, spicy, garlicky honey butter sauce — these are seriously addictive and perfect for dinner, game day, or whenever you're craving comfort food with a kick.

Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 1 ½ lbs chicken tenders
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

For the Spicy Honey Butter Garlic Sauce:

  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce (or more if you like it extra spicy)
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Season the Chicken: Pat chicken tenders dry and season with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
  2. Dredge: Set up three bowls—one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko. Coat each tender first in flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat in panko.
  3. Fry: In a large skillet, heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil over medium heat. Fry the tenders in batches for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
  4. Make the Sauce: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute). Stir in the honey, hot sauce, red pepper flakes, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Let it simmer for 2 minutes.
  5. Toss and Serve: Toss the fried chicken tenders in the warm sauce until fully coated. Serve immediately.
